  2. I did a collaboration with Margaret O’Connor producing a bone china skull mask (not an easy task, to fit a face, with 20% shrinkage and prone to distortion). we agreed any use of the work would credit us both. she exhibited the work in the window of Brown Thomas (a famous luxury department store in Ireland) and won Millinery Designer of the Year 2014, it was widely blogged, featured in magazines, newspapers etc - never once mentioning my name! I took legal action and won. I'm still really angry at the way I've been treated by Margaret O'Connor. She took all credit for my work. My work that I spent two weeks producing, and when i kicked up a fuss she asked i only communicate via a solicitor. I messaged Margaret O'Connor for her room number in order to send my solicitors letter (I've been to her flat many times, I just didn't remember the door number). 2 hours after requesting her door number, she sent the police to my house who issued a harassment order against me. She never replied to my solicitors letter. she also had me thrown out of my local pub, where she worked, unknown to me - because she felt uncomfortable. Her photographer james hazlett beard also sent the police to my house to issue a harassment order. God knows what they made up? having been told i mustn't contact Margaret O'Connor, she and her friends continued to contact me, saying I was wrong, questioning my legal action. but… I was right, and i have won my legal judgement, and I will be paid compensation for my time. Its been horrible, a feeling like not being invited to your birthday, and not being allowed to speak up. No one really gives a shit, except me, its a terrible feeling, alienating, unfair, its worse than a theft - to have something you've made with your hands taken away from you, and being silenced. She still has the work, an has denied me a magazine feature I arranged. I would like a apology, though i don't think i will get one.
