ANISS

Aniss is now the standing Millinery Winner of 2013 Melbourne Cup Carnival Millinery Award.  When first seeing the amazing breathtaking work of Aniss, I was inclined to feel it was all done on computer and mathematical equation.  After probing deeper into the world of the Design of Aniss I can see where there is feel of architecture, structure and art form come into a hat.
When first glancing around the room backstage at the millinery award, her masterpiece definitely looked outstanding, but yet her eye for detail and brilliance of attention to detail, made it look so easy that you are inclined to feel all is done on the computer.
This is where I have failed and not gone in further.  These hats have been masterfully created with the organics of wood and then manipulated like any other hat.  The tedious hours of making something so beautiful look so perfect is again like watching a great ice skater making the sport look easy yet to stand on ice is a feat in itself.  I want everyone to look through these fantastic pictures of Aniss's work and understand that the art form of making a hat does not always have to be in traditional manner.  This is new and innovative and definitely most outstanding.  Congratulations on a well deserved win Aniss and may the pictures below from your facebook site give further understanding of you magnificent hat.  Anna. x
