I am so totally in love with the town of Wagga Wagga and the people. What more can you ask for?
People are who make the town and "Thank you" to a wonderful Town. My only thing that I am not enjoying is the fact that I have to come to the fact of reality that it is going to end soon, but never to fear as I am sure there is going to be more "Hat Camp" to come.
Everyone is delighted with the learning from the tutors and strong friendships and connections made from around the world. Not only are the Tutors International Millinery Genius, there are also delegate that are Millinery Masters in their own right brushing up their skills and mastering technique.
On Tuesday we were blessed to hear Philip Rhodes speak of his time in "The Melbourne Theatre Company" which he was responsible for all Millinery and Accessories including opening parasols.
I think when you sit down with one of your tutors and discuss the positions they have held, you understand why you are learning. The detail, technique as spoken of earlier and just the master hints and tips that make the 'International Millinery Forum' a must for all hat lovers and Milliners of all standards.
I am a mere beginner, but tutors have given me confidence to walk out of class with a decent hat and a further understanding of how I can better educate people on the construction and why we are paying for a hat.
I know, I know, I may be preaching to the converted to this site, but how wonderful to be a part of something that we all love and have in common.
At the E3 Gallery in Wagga Wagga, there is still an exhibition of local milliners that have show stopping pieces. This is the Riverina Millinery Association and is running until the 17th of January, so if you are in town I encourage you to come down and see the remarkable talent.
A big thank you again to CWA in Wagga Wagga, you lovely faces and preparation of lunches and morning and afternoon tea are an absolute delight.
I cannot wait to sit down and reflect on the week of International Millinery Forum 2014 as there are so many highlights and it has been like cramming for an exam.
