Fiona Mangan Millinery

OK, I know, I keep featuring some of the same people, but sometimes when you see something that looks like it is sugar coated, I just have to share. I am so excited, especially with my big 'Royal Ascot' trip coming up, I am wanting to see everything in the Northern Hemisphere right now. Don't worry there are plenty of days of the year to feature everyone and I just love hats, I can look at them all day.
Just in between, I do have to take care of my daughter and son who is currently toilet training. NOT FUN! x

Patricia Balmer

Patricia Balmer is a lovely lady and a wonderful milliner and has been dubbed the name of the 'Feather Queen' in the sunny states of Australia. Patricia's work is usually an array of fantastic feathers creatively bound together but I am really partial to Patricia's Blooms of handmade silk flowers which is not only a skill but an art form. Patricia's work finals and wins 'Fashions on the Field' regularly, but her works always make heads turn, today my beautiful Patricia, you are my 'Milliner of the Day'. xxxxxx

Not only does Far North Queensland have some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia, it is also a hub for the hottest milliners. I adore Sonlia Fashions which I first noticed a couple of years ago during Melbourne Cup Carnival with their outstanding fashions. Colour, Shape and Texture plays a huge role in Sonlia creations and the colour is bold yet not shameful.
