Serena Lindeman Superb Summer 2013

True Racing fanatics and die hard hatters know that Summer is a must have for a hat and with a glorious wide brim, the wider the better.  In fact one hat I wore a couple of years ago was so large I could not fit into a normal toilet cubical, I had to use the disabled facility.

Ladies, when asked to take off our hat, "Hell NO!"

Enjoy the stunning treats of Serena Lindeman's Summer range and note Serena does have classes in Melbourne CBD and teach at Kangan Institute.  Click Here for more.

Melbourne Millinery Rock Stars

Last night Kangan Institute hosted a wonderful Soiree with the title, everything ballet.
How classically wonderful!

Most of the time when I mention milliners to my friends who have no idea of what I do as I just often tell people I am in I.T. people have no idea of what a milliner is or that alone what they do and the construction of a hat.

This is where I love to appreciate and learn more about the craft so I can better speak about it.

Last night at Kangan Institute there were not only a marvelous array of talented up and coming milliners with fantastic perspectives and love for the craft their were also my millinery rock stars, that are my pin up people.  I will just let you know, that I think you are all so wonderfully talented and I really appreciate everything you make and the love of all things hats.  Your brilliance shines through and through.

I cannot wait until Spring and now that I have had a taste, I want to see more and more hats.  All the photos will be online shortly so please stay posted on www.racingfashion.com.au

2012 Millinery Soiree

Something I am really excited about and will not even complain about the cold weather in Melbourne is the Kangan Institute Millinery Soiree.  This is an honour to attend and look at the wonderful ideas that students bring to the table of millinery literally.
When I hear the word Soiree, I know that Paris Kyne must be a part of this somewhere, but there will be the most well respected tutors, and such a wonderful delight of millinery to see.  I will enjoy taking photos and reporting all the fantastic craftsmanship that comes from this event.

Kangan Institute's annual Millinery Soiree is being held once again to celebrate the talents of our creative and passionate students. This year, our theme is "Everything is Beautiful in Ballet". Please join us on this exciting evening to support the inspired work of our ambitious students.
