Jane Corbett Millinery

Need I say more, than another Jane after Jane Taylor graced our Australian Shores to showcase her technique and Royal Millinery, Jane Corbett Millinery yet another great favourite of HRH Duchess of Cambridge.
When I get crafty with my bits and bobs of sisal and sinemay, I then look at the amazing creations that are pure perfection and I see many inspirations of Millinery in Australia either been working with the amazingly talented Jane Corbett or Inspired.
These hats are beautifully crafted and have a personality of their own and belong with the very best of British as they have to be appreciated and cared for like children, as this craftsmanship is superb.
Easily seen in the beauty of the line and now to be stocked in Harrods 2014.
We all know the story of my experience in Harrods but alas if I end up at Royal Ascot this year I may just visit the Milliners rather than head to department stores.

Mimi Millinery at International Millinery Forum Wagga Wagga Trade Show

When I first went to Louise Macdonald in Melbourne to learn about hats, I had heard of Harold of Mimi Millinery but, OMG, I had no idea it was that fabulous.
Again like a magician's tricks, millinery and their suppliers are secret, but when you see the treasure trove of vintage goods that Mimi's can offer, every milliner is just about sent broke.
When I was at the Millinery Trade Show on last Sunday at the International Millinery Forum, I heard the ladies say, "You can spend $1000 AUD here easily". I thought oh yeah, but I too joined that club very quickly.
Half of the things I dare not cut and too petrified to even go near or even worse let scissors near as the beauty of this vintage should only be left to the very best of the 'master milliners'.
I just purchase and dream of amazing things.

By the way, see Jane Taylor, Milliner to HRH Duchess of Cambridge Catherine, has stocked up and I dare say we will see some of these amazing fabrics on the head of HRH Catherine.
